We have a team of dedicated employed staff!
We operate from a rural farm buildings in Saighton, Chester. We are a team of 36 and although a large regional specialist installer, have our feet firmly on the ground.
We are transparent and ethical, and are fortunate to be able to class many of our clients as friends; we operate an open door policy at the office and invite clients, both existing and potential, to pop in without appointment.
Lee Stewart and Mike Lowes established the business some 10 years ago having been long term friends prior. They share a passion for the Renewables Industry and Climate Change, and are proud of the positive impact the business has made on the local and wider area over the last decade; they have over 35-yrs combined experience in Renewable Energy system design and installation.

Mike Lowes
Design Director
Mike is a Co-Founder and Director here at Rural and Country, Mike has over 30 years in the Renewable industry and manages our field assessors. Mike can be found in the office submitting planning applications and designs or out on site visiting commercial and agricultural customers. Mikes biggest passion is customer satisfaction, he goes above and beyond to ensure all of our client’s questions and expectations are managed.

Lee Stewart
Technical Director
Lee is also a Co-Founder and Director here at Rural and Country. He is our Technical guru and can be found out onsite running commercial projects but also here in the office. Lee started his career in the industry as a plumbing and heating apprentice, he quickly developed a passion for design and contracts management. Lee’s passion is to see the team go from strength to strength and is an advocate in training.

Richard Powell
Operations Director
Richard is a Director here at Rural and Country and has been a part of the team since 2019. He oversees the day to day running of the company and co-ordinates our service and maintenance division. Richard is a qualified plumbing and heating engineer and has spent his early career working for large blue-chip companies specialising in procurement and project delivery. You can find Richard in the office ensuring all projects are costed efficiently and completing complex grid designs.

Tia Lowes
Installations PV/Electrical Manager
Tia started here at Rural and Country in 2020, she is located in the office and oversees the running of our Solar PV and Battery installations. Tia prides herself in building strong customer relationships and ensuring the installations are completed as smoothly as possible. Tia also manages all of our social media platforms to make sure you can keep up to date with our most recent installations and company news.

Alan Hughes
Installations Heating Manager
Alan started at Rural and Country 9years ago, he started on the tools as a heating and plumbing engineer and decided that it was time for him to put down his tools and come into the office, he now manages and co-ordinates our heating division, you can find Alan here in the office or out on site training our engineers.

Adam Simner
Technical Surveyor
Adam has been at Rural and Country since 2021, he is our technical surveyor. Adam is extremely dedicated to his role and can be found out on site surveying new installations or in the office completing heat loss calculations and assisting the Managers to ensure each installation is carried out to the highest standard.

Richard Morris
Head of Commercial Operations
Richard heads up our commercial division and joined the company due to the huge growth in our commercial solar installations. Richard prides himself on the small details and uses his vast experience, along with the latest solar CAD design tools to ensure our commercial customers get the perfect system every time. He and his team can be found at our HQ in Chester or out visiting commercial clients throughout the Midlands, North Wales and of course, the North West.

Commercial Business Development Manager

Helen Roberts
Accounts
Helen has been here at Rural and Country since the very beginning. Helen oversees our accounts department and manages client and supplier accounts. Helen prides herself in her organisation skills and her kind and friendly approach to work.

Jenny Kidd
Administration
Jenny has been at Rural and Country since 2021 and is vital part of day to day life in the office. Jenny is responsible for all admin related duties from client paperwork to ensuring the company’s fleet of vehicles stay on the road. If you have rang into the office, the likelihood is, you will be familiar with Jen’s voice and warm welcoming.

Jan Deering
Appointment CoOrdinator
Jan can be found at our HQ in Chester. Jan is responsible for booking all of our appointments for our team of Field Assessors, Surveyors and Service teams, ensuring all of our clients get appointments to fit in with their commitments.

Barry Vincent
Senior Field Assessor
Barry is our senior field assessor and is part of the furniture here at Rural and country. As well as supporting the other assessors with his vast amount of experience and knowledge, Barry enjoys visiting potential clients in the Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire area.

Anna Darwin
Field Assessor
Anna is one of our field assessors based in the Cheshire region of the UK. Anna can be found visiting and guiding our potential clients on their renewable requirements.

Darren Manning
Field Assessor
Darren is one of our field assessors based in Shropshire, and visits our clients in the surrounding areas. Darren can be found visiting and guiding our potential clients on their renewable requirements.

Hugh Manning
Electrical Supervisor
Hugh has been with the company for several years and came to us as an experienced Solar PV installer and of course,a qualified electrician. Hugh’s ‘can do’ attitude saw him being promoted to our Electrical Supervisor. You can find Hugh installing some of our more complex systems or supporting our other electricians out on site.

Service Department
Our service department is built up of both Craig and Rich, they have both been with the company for a combined total of 10 years and started as installation engineers. They both have an outstanding knowledge of the industry and carry qualifications such as, their BPEC Heat Pump Level 3 Diploma and their FGAS refrigeration qualification.
Both Craig and Rich are listed as master engineers with leading heat pump manufactures such as Mitsubishi, Samsung, LG and Ecoforest. They are supported via our electrical division on a weekly rotation to ensure all clients, both heating and electrical receive the same outstanding service.

Installers
A our dedicated employed installers are the true backbone of the company, the team are split into four divisions electrical, heating, roofing and groundworks. This ensures the clients gets a suitably qualified and experienced engineer to complete the installation to the highest of standards.
